Patricia Aguilar Morrissey grew up in Lima, Peru and has lived in Oregon for over 25 years. Patricia has graduate degrees in Biology from both the ITESM in Mexico and from the University of Rhode Island. She started working with the Clatsop County Latino population in the early 90’s and founded the Lower Columbia Hispanic Council as a response to Hispanic needs in the area.
She has taught both science and Spanish for many years and has published Spanish language workbooks and children’s bilingual picture books. She is the co-editor of The Latinos of Clatsop County Oregon. Patricia lives in Portland, Oregon, where she continues to teach, write and enjoy the outdoors.
