Rosa Martinez was born and raised in San Jose, California and joined the Lower Columbia community in 2015. She studied Social and Behavioral Sciences and Child Development and currently works at Warrenton-Hammond School District as the Family Liaison and Federal Programs Coordinator.
Since 2003 Rosa Martinez has worked with private and public agencies delivering programming and direct services as well as advocating for the needs of the Hispanic community in the areas of education and access to medical and mental health services as well as other community supports. She passionately believes that communication, education and equitable access to resources and information are the keys to empowering Hispanic community members to live healthy and successful lives.
In her free time she enjoys taking weekend trips with her family, crafting and reading supernatural and zombie related fiction.
