Maritza Romero, who joined the LCHC team in 2015, has joined again to work with the Hispanic Council. Previously, her position in the Hispanic Council was as a Program Manager, where she had the opportunity to assist the Latino community in connecting them to local resources and facilitating parenting workshops. Currently, she works as a Family Engagement Manager, Early Learning & K-12. Where she will be addressing the cultural gaps that exist in our local educational system. The Family Engagement program is in partnership with Astoria, Seaside, and Warrenton-Hammond School Districts.

She graduated with a B.S. in Physical Activity and Exercise at Portland State University. She is passionate about improving the quality of life of people through social services and is dedicated to educating families to become healthier and more vibrant leaders in their community. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her daughter and friends, enjoy the outdoors, run and read.
