Born and raised in Astoria, Andrea Gonzalez graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Portland State University’s School of Social Work. She joined the Lower Columbia Hispanic Council (LCHC) in Summer 2017, but has been a member and received services from the organization since 2011. Previously, Andrea interned at an academic success program called TRIO-Student Support Services where she assisted college students with career exploration, navigating academic systems, and applying for universities and scholarships.
At LCHC she is the Advocacy and Civic Engagement Manager. She is passionate about social justice, education, health, equity, and empowerment. In her spare time, she likes going on bike rides, hiking, reading, and knitting. She also enjoys being with her family, friends, and two dogs!
